Navigating a bustling, multilingual city can be daunting, especially when language barriers create uncertainty. This animation tells the heartfelt story of Amarjeet, an elderly Sikh grandfather from the suburbs, facing exactly that challenge when invited to his granddaughter's birthday party in the busy inner city. Initially hesitant due to language concerns, Amarjeet finds hope in an AI-powered language translator app introduced by his eldest granddaughter.

We designed this story with warmth and sensitivity, employing rich, vivid colors and emotive characters that resonate with both young and old audiences. Amarjeet’s journey—from anxious isolation to joyful connection—is beautifully captured through charming visuals and universally understandable scenarios.

Style

Throughout the animation, the AI translator proves indispensable, assisting Amarjeet in reading signs, checking timetables, and even navigating unexpected hazards in the city. Highlighting empathy, humor, and practicality, the visual style blends playful illustrations with clear, culturally considerate iconography. The narrative crescendos in a warm reunion scene, demonstrating how innovative tools empower individuals to overcome everyday barriers.
