Approach
Job Options
Wind energy is one of the most sustainable and exciting areas of renewable power generation, but understanding exactly how it transforms a breeze into electricity for our homes can feel complex. These engaging animations are part of a broader course that introduces learners to the wind industry, clearly illustrating the journey of energy from wind through to powering your kettle at home, the different opportunities in the industry and the response of wind turbines to high wind.
To emphasise the diversity of job roles in this dynamic industry, we also created animations showcasing careers like Site Managers overseeing daily operations, Riggers safely assembling turbines, Transport & Logistics specialists delivering turbine components from ports to sites, and Project Managers ensuring environmental compliance and meeting safety standards.
Shutdown Process
Beginning with the wind turbine generator (WTG), the animation visualizes the flow of electricity as wind moves turbine blades. It highlights how turbines start spinning at gentle breezes of just 12.6 km per hour—so mild you wouldn't even notice it—but safely shut down at cyclone-level winds of around 90 km per hour.

Style
Our vibrant animation showcases colorful scenes aimed at resonating with builders and acknowledging the challenges they face. We created Joe, an everyday builder in overalls, as a relatable character with familiar struggles and anxieties about managing a team and overcoming various obstacles. Humorous icons and exaggerated failures add a light-hearted touch to these challenges, while providing concrete guidance through bullet points.
