We partnered with TAFE NSW on a vibrant animation featuring Lee, a passionate culinary graduate struggling to find his first job. With a dash of humour and help from a friendly AI chef, Lee transforms his anxiety into confidence—celebrating the power of mentorship and personalized support.

Project Details
Entering the professional culinary world after graduation is an exciting yet intimidating step. This animation, created for TAFE NSW, follows Lee, a newly graduated chef who faces the challenge of crafting the perfect cover letter to land his dream culinary job. Lee dreams vividly of commanding a bustling hotel kitchen, echoing his parents’ legacy as skilled chefs in Shanghai. However, reality strikes hard when he confronts the daunting blank screen of his cover letter. Recognizing this common hurdle for recent graduates, we introduced a supportive, humorous AI Bot character (complete with a chef’s hat!) that offers guidance and practical tips to help Lee confidently articulate his culinary aspirations and heritage.

Through clear and engaging storytelling, we depict the valuable role mentorship and personalized support play in overcoming professional barriers. The AI-driven interaction guides Lee step-by-step, culminating in a sleek, professionally styled cover letter.

Stylistically, we opted for a vibrant, contemporary animation approach that blends elegant culinary aesthetics with relatable digital interactions. Dynamic visual storytelling emphasizes Lee’s internal journey and growth, capturing both humorous and heartfelt moments. Iconography is thoughtfully employed to represent culinary concepts, digital assistance, and emotional states clearly and universally.
We loved creating this empowering animation and hope it inspires graduates to embrace their unique stories on the path to achieving their culinary dreams.
